I know it is a bit stereotypical to put Good Will Hunting on a favorites list. I have heard people call it overrated more times than I can count, and I am not going to sit here and defend it by explaining why the screenplay is revolutionary or why every frame deserves to be studied in film school.

I just know that I really, genuinely enjoyed watching it.

It is one of those movies that simply warms my heart. And honestly, it is difficult for me not to feel that way whenever Robin Williams appears on screen. There was something very comforting about him, and Sean is probably one of my favorite roles of his.

The famous “It’s not your fault” scene is obviously heartbreaking, but I also love the quieter moments between Sean and Will. Their conversations slowly stop feeling like therapy sessions and start feeling more like two people actually getting to know each other. I think that is what makes their relationship work so well for me.

I would love to write much more about this movie, but unfortunately I am in a bit of a hurry right now.
